THE LIFE OF FAY LINDSAY-JONES In the brief span of her life (1969-99), Fay Lindsay-Jones endured unbelievable tragedy, struggle and triumph. Many take inspiration from her story of success in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Always refusing to be called a hero, she has nevertheless become a symbol of empowerment to people from all walks of life. Her signature philosophy “Anything is possible, you just have to want it” is underscored by a life story that exemplifies a hunger for success moving mountains. Born into a paternity scandal between small town beauty queen Sandra Lindsay and actor-model August Jones, Fay is awarded millions when August dies due to medical malpractice and Sandra files a wrongful death suit in the name of her child. Young Fay dreams of the fame that was almost her father’s before his tragic death. Her fate, some might say, is far worse. Shortly after being signed by a Hollywood producer she is burned over ninety percent of her body in an earthquake fire. Only her face is miraculously spared. Overwhelmed by news of her daughter’s accident while driving, Sandra Lindsay is involved in a fatal car accident that kills a pedestrian. A resulting lawsuit strips Fay of her inheritance, leaving her only meager funds that hardly cover her medical expenses. After bouts with suicide, she begins taping a public access television show about her new goal to make a movie of her life. It becomes a phenomenon, empowering others with her blazon ambition. She founds the Center for the Triumph of Will with the help of an anonymous donation and eventually produces her life story as a major motion picture in 1999. At the film’s premiere she is assassinated. Leaders at the Center succeed in their campaign to rehabilitate her assassin through Fay’s philosophies in lieu of a prison sentence. The rehabilitation is a complete success, showing the power of her legacy, a gift to all mankind.
